What We Treat
The conditions we treat most
Most patients arrive with one problem and a few others underneath it. These are the conditions that bring people to Piraluna — each treated with a combined protocol built for you.
Lower back pain & sciatica
Yes — acupuncture is one of the best-evidenced treatments for lower back pain and sciatica. At Piraluna we combine body acupuncture with electroacupuncture and cupping to release the muscle and nerve tension driving the pain. Most acute cases ease within 1 to 3 sessions; longer-standing pain needs a short course.
How we treat it →Neck & shoulder pain
Neck, shoulder and upper-back tension — the classic "office syndrome" of desk workers and digital nomads — responds quickly to acupuncture and cupping. At Piraluna we release the locked muscles and the stress they hold, usually with visible relief after the first session.
How we treat it →Insomnia & poor sleep
Acupuncture helps you sleep by calming the nervous system and treating the underlying pattern — whether you struggle to fall asleep, wake through the night, or get up still exhausted. At Piraluna many patients sleep better the very night of their first treatment.
How we treat it →Stress & anxiety
Acupuncture calms an over-active nervous system, which is why it helps with stress, anxiety and the kind of overthinking that will not switch off. At Piraluna we treat the physical knock-on effects too — the tension headaches, poor sleep and a body that never quite relaxes.
How we treat it →Digestion & IBS
Bloating, reflux, irregular bowel movements and that heavy feeling after meals all respond to acupuncture and TCM. At Piraluna we treat digestion as central — fix the gut and a surprising amount of everything else tends to follow.
How we treat it →Fertility & women's health
Acupuncture supports fertility by regulating the cycle, improving blood flow to the reproductive organs and lowering stress — whether you are trying to conceive naturally or supporting IVF or IUI. At Piraluna we work with your cycle, not against it.
